About Brad Little

Brad Little is the 33rd Governor of Idaho, serving since January 7, 2019. Born in Emmett, Idaho, in 1954, he is a third-generation Idahoan and was raised on his family's sheep and cattle ranching operation. He graduated from the University of Idaho in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness. Little married Teresa Soulen in 1978, and they have two sons and six grandchildren. Before becoming governor, Little held several leadership roles. He served in the Idaho Senate from 2001 to 2009, where he was elected as the Majority Caucus Chair. He then served as Idaho's 37th Lieutenant Governor from 2009 until his gubernatorial election in 2018. Little has been a lifelong conservative and has advocated for limited government and public service throughout his career. As governor, Little has focused on significant tax relief, red tape reduction, and investments in education and infrastructure. His tenure has been marked by unprecedented economic growth and efforts to make Idaho a desirable place to live and do business. He was reelected in November 2022, indicating strong support for his policies. Recent initiatives include combating drug threats and continuing to streamline regulations to ease burdens on small businesses and citizens.
