About Noel Gallagher

Noel Thomas David Gallagher (born 29 May 1967) is an English musician, singer, and songwriter, best known as the primary songwriter, lead guitarist, and co-lead vocalist of the rock band Oasis. He began playing guitar at age twelve and worked as a roadie and technician for Inspiral Carpets before joining his younger brother Liam's band, Oasis, in 1991. Gallagher insisted on creative control, becoming the band’s principal songwriter and lead guitarist. Under his leadership, Oasis released several critically and commercially successful albums. Their debut, *Definitely Maybe* (1994), was a breakthrough success, and their follow-up, *(What's the Story) Morning Glory?* (1995), achieved international acclaim with hits like "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back in Anger." Oasis's third album, *Be Here Now* (1997), became the fastest-selling album in UK chart history. Despite internal tensions, Oasis remained influential throughout the 1990s and 2000s, releasing acclaimed albums such as *Don't Believe the Truth* (2005) and *Dig Out Your Soul* (2008). In 2009, following a public altercation with Liam, Noel left Oasis, leading to the band's dissolution. After Oasis, Gallagher formed Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds in 2010, releasing several albums including the self-titled debut (2011) and *Council Skies* (2023). He is widely regarded as one of the most successful and influential British songwriters, credited with writing eight UK number-one singles and twelve UK number-one albums. His work has earned multiple awards, including six Brit Awards. As of 2024, Noel Gallagher announced plans to rejoin Oasis for a 2025 live tour, marking a significant reunion for the band. Additionally, he has considered selling his music catalog, reflecting his ongoing relevance in the music industry[1][2][3].
