Sabrina Ionescu is an American professional basketball player born on December 6, 1997, in Walnut Creek, California. She is best known as a standout guard for the New York Liberty in the WNBA, where she was selected as the first overall pick in the 2020 draft. Ionescu played college basketball at the University of Oregon, where she made history as the only player in NCAA Division I men’s or women’s basketball to finish her career with more than 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, and 1,000 assists. She was a two-time Pac-12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player and led Oregon to multiple conference titles and a Final Four appearance.
